2018 NYC DOE School Wellness Campaign Contest (DEADLINE: March 19)

Community Conversations Research Competition (so, this may not seem related, but as I looked at it, I totally see school/community gardens as part of the civic environment as they relate to community concerns. That said,  you need to find a higher ed partner, but wow, what an opportunity-P.S…I would be happy to jump on this as a partner, representing this network…just saying!)

GROW NYC Spring 2018 Green Team Mini-Grants!  (Deadline: March 23)
The New York City Department of Sanitation and Citizens Committee for New York City are awarding up to $500 to school green teams! Grants must be used for green team expenses such as recycling and garden projects, t-shirts/uniforms, school sustainability events, and eco-friendly giveaways. Preference will be given to recycling or waste related projects. All K-12 public schools are encouraged to apply! See the application and budget guidelines for more details. For any questions, email schools@dsny.nyc.gov.

Teachers in grades 6-12 who want to increase student climate literacy are invited to register for a workshop presented by the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) and partners as part of the NYCDOE’s Spring STEM Institute, April 3-5, 2018.
Participants will learn about how to apply for a $20,000 School Climate Solutions Challenge grant from NWFREGISTER FOR SESSION ST20 BY MARCH 16th HERE
