Participate in Butterfly Count
Are you part of a school group, community garden, friends of park group, or have a passion for collecting data on pollinators? Join Citizens Committee and Butterfly Project NYC to learn about the importance of our local pollinators, how to create gardens that attract them, and how to lead a butterfly count. As part of the workshop, we will spend time identifying the native plants that host them at New Roots Community Farm. We will also observe and discuss design elements of the pollinator gardens and spend some time caring for the plants. You will also learn about data collection and butterfly identification. With your help, we are working on promoting pollinator habitat and providing long-term data on butterfly populations. 6PM. New Roots Community Farm, 670 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY. June 28. To RSVP, contact Katie Grassle at butterflycountnyc@gmail.com
